How to hide likes on Instagram (and see them again)

Instagram has two separate settings: one hides like counts on everything you see, the other hides the count on your own posts from everyone else. You can use either or both, and undo them any time.

Hide likes on posts you see

1. 01Go to your profile and tap the menu in the top right.
2. 02Under What you see, tap Like and share counts.
3. 03Turn on Hide like & share counts. Turn it off to see them again.

This also hides share counts, and only changes what you see. Other people still see the numbers.

Hide likes on your own post before you share it

1. 01On the last screen before sharing, tap More options.
2. 02Turn on Hide like counts on this post.

Hide likes on a post you've already shared

1. 01Open the post and tap the options button in the top right.
2. 02Tap Hide like count to others. To show it again, tap Unhide like count to others.
