How long can an Instagram bio be?
150 characters, including spaces, emoji and line breaks. The app counts them as you type, and this tool shows the count on every idea.
How do I add line breaks to my Instagram bio?
Type them in the Bio field under Edit profile, or paste a bio that already has them, like the ideas here. Instagram keeps the line breaks.
Can I put a link in my bio?
Yes, in the Links section under Edit profile, separate from the bio text. A web address typed into the bio itself isn't clickable, so the bio's job is to tell people why to tap the link.
What does "DM me a keyword" do?
