Most Instagram DMs a business receives are the same dozen questions. Writing the answer once, well, and reusing it saves hours and keeps your tone consistent. Below are 20 templates you can copy, grouped by the moment they're for. Swap in your own words, link and name; anything in double braces, like {{first_name|there}}, is a personalization token MuChat fills in for you, with the word after the bar used when the name is missing.

How to save and reuse them

For answers you type yourself, save them as quick replies. MuChat keeps up to 20 per workspace, each with a short name, and anyone on your team can drop one into a conversation from the inbox. For answers that should go out without anyone typing, such as a link after a keyword comment, a price reply or an out-of-hours message, put the template into an automation instead. MuChat's ready-made automations, like “Auto-DM links from comments” and “Away message outside business hours”, come with starter text you can replace with these.

What makes a DM template work

  • Short: two or three lines read well on a phone. Put the link in a button rather than a wall of text.
  • One ask per message: one question or one button, not three.
  • Personal: use their first name, with a fallback so a missing name never reads as a blank.
  • Honest about timing: if a person will reply later, say when.
  • Yours: rewrite each one in your own voice. The structure is the useful part.
